The program trains operators of overhead, gantry and tower cranes — three fundamentally different machine types, each with its own handling quirks. The theory block covers crane construction, lifting mechanisms, rigger hand signals, and technical operation rules required by the labor inspectorate.
Practice happens directly on the cranes: trainees practice precise load positioning, coordinating with a rigger via signals and radio, and responding to brake failure or a snapped cable. Special attention goes to load charts and calculating maximum safe weight based on boom reach.
After training, each student sits an exam before the certification board and receives a state-format crane operator certificate specifying the equipment type they trained on.
