Training in action
More about the program
The rigger course trains grade 2–6 specialists who work alongside a crane operator on a site or in a warehouse. The program covers rigging schemes for loads of varying shape and weight, choosing rigging gear, and calculating sling angle and its effect on load.
Practice takes place directly at a company — trainees practice rigging real loads, signaling the crane operator, and checking even load distribution. A separate block covers pre-work gear inspection and identifying worn or damaged slings that should never be used.
Training is delivered under a Ukraine Ministry of Education license. Graduates receive a certificate of vocational qualification award (upgrade) with an assigned grade, opening the door to work at any site that uses lifting equipment.
Who the rigger course in Odesa is for
The slinger/rigger course at Profesiina Osvita in Odesa is a solid entry point into work with lifting equipment. A rigger prepares the load, attaches it to the crane hook, signals the operator and makes sure the load travels safely. The course suits beginners and workers whose employer assigns them rigging tasks.
What you study
The program covers choosing a rigging method for loads of different shapes and weights, wire rope, chain and textile slings, how sling angle affects load, pre-work gear inspection, hand signals for the crane operator and safe storage of loads.
Certificate and training format
Training is delivered under a Ukraine Ministry of Education license. Theory is combined with practice directly at a company alongside a crane operator. After training and a qualification exam, you receive a certificate of vocational qualification award (upgrade) with an assigned grade (the program covers grades 2–6).
During practice, the instructor focuses on the details that keep people safe: checking sling markings, where to stand during a lift and when to stop work. Employers can send groups of their staff for training.
