The course covers the full range of welding technologies: manual arc welding, MIG/MAG shielded-gas welding, TIG and gas welding. Trainees study materials science, welding-parameter selection, and edge preparation for joints.
The hands-on portion takes place in an equipped welding workshop: each student works on real equipment under a training master, practicing horizontal, vertical and overhead welds, and learning to diagnose and fix defects like porosity, incomplete fusion and cracks. A separate block covers safety when working with high temperatures, electric current and pressurized cylinders.
Graduates can optionally add a marine-welding endorsement — a valuable qualification that opens the door to Odesa's shipbuilding and repair industry, one of the best-paid in the region.

What you study
The program covers manual arc welding with stick electrodes, MIG/MAG shielded-gas welding, TIG, and gas welding and cutting. Theory explains metal properties, choosing consumables and settings, edge preparation, weld types and positions, and common defects and how to prevent them.
A dedicated block covers workplace safety: electric current, gas cylinders, open flame and fire safety. Trainees can optionally prepare for a marine welding endorsement.
Certificate and training format
Classroom theory is combined with hands-on practice on real metal in an equipped welding workshop under a training master. After training and a qualification exam, you receive a certificate of vocational qualification with an assigned grade.
Each trainee welds joints in different positions, learns to judge weld quality and correct mistakes. The exam includes a theory part and a practical task. Employers can send groups of their staff for training.
