The lathe operator course trains specialists in metal machining on lathes — from classic to modern CNC models. The program covers reading technical drawings, choosing tools and cutting parameters by material, and precision-checking parts with measuring instruments.
Practice takes place in a training workshop on real lathes: trainees machine parts of increasing complexity, from simple shafts to threaded joints and tapered surfaces. Special attention goes to safety around rotating machinery.
On completion, a grade of 2–6 is assigned, determining the complexity of work the graduate is qualified for at a production facility.
