Realise how important a person you are
Why occupational safety lectures are not a formality, what workplace certification is for and what refresher training really gives you.
Now imagine how people feel when they are stuck in a lift, for example. They panic and press the one rescue button with all their strength. Even the non-religious suddenly remember God and start dialling the number of an organisation that can provide the help they need. An unpleasant situation — and one that might never have happened if the person responsible for this part of the work had listened carefully to those sometimes dull, but so useful, occupational safety lectures!
Workplace certification in Odesa is what makes it possible to check whether a workplace meets the conditions set out in the law. Seminars and training sessions provide the occupational safety knowledge that is required. Those who listen to the lecturers carefully later become responsible employees and save their company money. The inattentive and unmotivated will bring the firm losses in the form of fines and penalties for failing to carry out the duties assigned to them.
The main document for the responsible person is the job description of the occupational safety specialist. Safety rules have to be genuinely observed at the workplace, and a occupational safety certificate should be issued not just to tick a box, but as a real sign of knowledge gained and understood.
If you have been working long and successfully in your chosen field, refresher training is a matter of course for you. Even if you hear nothing new, you will learn about changes in the legislation and the updated requirements for employees and for working conditions in production.
Training can become a way to refresh your knowledge and move to a new, higher level of development. A promotion is possible. But over time people grow older and become less efficient employees for production. So even keeping your position is an achievement in itself — although such employees are valued for the experience they have gained over many years of work. In this case refresher training is the balance you need between your salary expectations and what the company can realistically offer.
