More about the program
The structural installer course trains specialists to work as part of a crew at height — coordinating with a crane operator and rigger. The program covers reading construction drawings and the technology of assembling steel and reinforced-concrete structures.
Practice takes place on a construction site: trainees practice installing columns, beams and floor slabs, and aligning structures with a level and plumb line. A separate block covers height-work safety and crew coordination.
On completion, a grade of 2–6 is assigned based on the complexity of assembly work the graduate is qualified for.
